Privacy
The short version: we only handle the video you choose to check, we delete it as soon as the check finishes, and we don't use it to train anything.

What we collect
When you scan a video, we receive the video file and the video type you chose. There are no accounts, so we don't ask for your name, email or anything else to run a check.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the time of each request, to keep the service running and stop abuse.
What happens to your video
- It's sent to our server over an encrypted connection. If you paste a link instead, our server fetches that one public video from the platform, and from then on it's handled exactly like an upload.
- Our server passes it to a rented computer with a graphics processor (GPU), which runs the detector and sends back the result.
- The uploaded file is deleted as soon as the check finishes, whether it succeeded or not.
- The result and its evidence images are kept for up to one hour under a random link that only your browser knows (the
#job=…part at the end of the page's address), so the page can show them, even after a reload. After that they are deleted.
Training
Uploaded videos and their results are never used to train, tune or test the detectors.
Who else handles it
When it's deployed, the website runs on Render. While we're testing it, the website is also served from one of the team's own computers through an ngrok tunnel, so your video and its result pass through ngrok on the way. The detectors run on GPU servers rented through Vast.ai.
These providers process your video only to deliver the check. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
What stays in your browser
OriginAI doesn't use cookies, ads or tracking scripts. It stores whether you chose the light or dark theme. While a check is running, the page also keeps the check's random link and your video's file name and size in that browser tab, so it can pick the check back up if you reload. The tab forgets them when you close it or scan another video.
