What OriginAI is
OriginAI is a research tool built as a university thesis. It uses trained models to estimate whether the face in a video was edited. It supports your own checking. It doesn't replace source verification, digital forensics, or a qualified person's judgment.
What you can check
Only check videos you own or have permission to use. If you scan a video on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you're allowed to.
What you can't do
- Use OriginAI to harass, impersonate, defame or secretly monitor anyone.
- Overload the service, get around its limits, or interfere with its servers.
- Copy, extract or redistribute the detectors.
- Present a result as forensic proof or an official certification.
Results
"Likely real" and "likely deepfake" are a detector's judgments, not statements of fact. They depend on the video type you pick, what the detector learned from, its threshold, and the quality of your video. Don't use a single result as the only basis for a legal, employment, academic, financial, medical or disciplinary decision.
Your videos
You keep all rights to the videos you check. You give us only the permission needed to receive, process and return a result for them, as described on the Privacy page.
Availability and changes
OriginAI is a research project and may be slow, offline or changed without notice. Detectors, thresholds, limits and these terms may change as the work continues. The date at the top shows the latest version.
